On my visit to Cork, we hung out in this pub and listened to hours of traditional music and chatted with the locals. The accent there is VERY difficult to understand, but they were lovely people!

Antique styled tea place in Cork city! It was so cute. We had breakfast here one morning during our stay in Cork

Belfast, iRELAND

Belfast is a crazy city because there is still so much division! There are murals like this one, remembering the IRA members, then there are others that show the Queen of England. Walking through Belfast was very haunting because there are still "peace walls", huge, tall metal walls dividing Catholic and Protestant neighborhoods.

The "elephant in the room" is the tension between loyalties to Ireland and England

The myth: Finn MacCool (Irish hero) thought he was the biggest giant in all the land, but there was a Scottish giant Benandonner who was way huger than Finn. There is a part of the causeway in Scotland too because Finn used it to get to Benandonner, so that's pretty cool!

We didn't even fall off!

Dublin and Maynooth

My best friend from Regis, Elizabeth, came to Ireland for a few days near her birthday. So we went out dancing to celebrate, and we were the only ones there! Whole dance floor to ourselves!!!

Germany:
Trier, Spangdahlem,manderscheid

This wall in the middle of Trier was built in the year 2. It's kinda old...

Castles of Manderschied in Germany

Before Jesus was crucified, he was stripped of his seamless tunic. In Trier, they have preserved a cloth that many believe to be this same tunic

Katherine was kind enough to open her home to us while we stayed in Germany!

This gate goes into the dungeon...
